6th Grade
Our spring expedition for our school adapted its focus on currently seeing the helpers in the world as the world is changing around us, through this pandemic. The task is to design and create a “time capsule” artifact that will capture some of the events, thoughts, emotions, and experiences during this current unique time period in history. In Math, Science ELA and Social Studies have posted some different perspectives of how citizens are acting as CREW around the world, and NOT as passengers. Students investigated the different perspectives in each class and the come up with a design for a T-shirt. On their shirt students included words, quotes, ideas, or pictures/drawings that capture ideas from each of their classes. Students planned and designed their shirts to be inspired to represent the statement “We are Crew, not passengers” even during this difficult time period.
